The Canberra Short Film Festival is held in November every year, and in 2025 will be celebrating its 30 Year Anniversary! 2024 bought another glittering spectacular feast of short, independent cinema, with just under 800 submissions, 270 short films, animations, music videos  shown across 22 separate screenings at a range of venues across Canberra, including Dendy Cinemas, only a 12 minute walk from Mercure Canberra.

Outside of screening films, there is filmmaker network events, a screen industry forum, special guest panel Q&A’s and of course a little celebration at the Gala Opening and Awards Night after party.
